Ad Firm Publicis Groupe Hit With $100M Discrimination Suit.
A former executive of Publicis Groupe SA’s public-relations unit sued the French advertising company Thursday, alleging it engaged in “systemic, companywide” discrimination against female employees in the U.S. in terms of pay, promotion and terminations.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, seeks class-action status and asks for $100 million in back pay, damages and legal expenses. It is the latest in a series of lawsuits alleging discrimination against women by major companies operating in the U.S.
